No. 1.4853 or UTP A 2535NB, is a nickel-based alloy that typically contains around 25–27% chromium, 34–36% nickel, and about 3% molybdenum, with the remainder being iron and trace elements. The weld metal produced from this wire boasts impressive tensile strength (minimum ~ 690 MPa), good yield strength (> 460 MPa), and decent ductility (with elongation usually ≥ 8%). Its unique nickel-chrome-molybdenum composition provides outstanding resistance to H₂S environments, acidic conditions, and moderate exposure to chlorides, making it far more corrosion-resistant than standard stainless steels.
