What is HASTELLOY® C-22HS® Welding Wire ?
HASTELLOY® C-22HS® Welding Wire is a unique alloy made from nickel, chromium, molybdenum, and tungsten, specifically designed for outstanding corrosion resistance. Its makeup features a high nickel content, around 22–23% chromium, 13–14% molybdenum, 3–4% tungsten, along with trace amounts of iron and other elements. The weld metal showcases excellent tensile strength, toughness, and ductility, while also providing remarkable resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking. It maintains its structural integrity in various environments, whether oxidizing, reducing, or mixed acid, ensuring consistent mechanical performance and long-term stability even under high temperatures and chemically aggressive conditions.
