What is HAYNES® 188 Welding Wire?

HAYNES® 188 Welding Wire is a cobalt-based superalloy, primarily made of cobalt, with about 22% chromium, 22% nickel, 14% tungsten, and trace amounts of lanthanum, manganese, silicon, and carbon. This weld metal is known for its impressive high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance up to 1095°C, and good ductility. It remains stable during thermal cycling and offers excellent protection against hot corrosion, making it ideal for extreme service environments.
