What is HAYNES® Waspaloy Welding Wire?

Waspaloy welding wire (UNS N07001, AWS/AMS standard) is a high-performance superalloy based on nickel. Its typical composition features around 18–21% chromium, 12–15% cobalt, 3.5–5.0% molybdenum, 2.75–3.50% titanium, and 1.2–1.6% aluminum, with nickel making up the rest. It also contains trace amounts of iron (≤ 2%), carbon (0.02–0.10%), copper, silicon, manganese, zirconium, boron, and more. ([Haynes International][3]) The weld metal deposited from Waspaloy filler boasts exceptional strength and outstanding resistance to oxidation and corrosion, especially in high-temperature environments ranging from about 1000 to 1800 °F (approximately 540 to 980 °C).
